Lab Members

Studied psychology for Ph.D. at Vanderbilt (Jeffrey Schall), then postdoctoral work at Janelia Farm Research Campus (PI Karel Svoboda). Continuing to study the neural circuit functions underlying behavior.

When he is not in the lab, he is sprinting on the track.

Currently studying the motor cortex and stroke-recovery. Prior to pursuing academia, he was a national level soccer player.

When he is not in the lab, he enjoys reading Japanese manga.

​

Completed his undergraduate degree at Auburn University before attending UMiami medical school. Currently a 6th year neurosurgery resident at MUSC.

​

Enjoys running and exploring the food scene in Charleston.

​

After getting Japanese medical license in 2020, he is now a neurosurgery resident (neurovascular and trauma) and graduate school student of Yokohama-City-University (M.D, Ph.D).

Enjoys baseball (played as a pitcher for 15 years, fan of Shohei Ohtani) and Japanese anime (One piece, Demon slayer).

He is a fan of the Hanshin Tigers, a Japanese professional baseball team(in NPB). He wants to start watching MLB.

Graduate of the College of Charleston Honors College, with a BS in biology and a neuroscience minor. Planning to attend the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine and become a general dentist.

Enjoys thrifting and long walks.

Senior at the College of Charleston Honors College pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in biology on the pre-medicine track and minoring in neuroscience and Spanish. Planning to attend medical school and study neurology.
